Obs Zoom

Here’s a video and a recipe for musicians who want to display something other than a web-cam of themselves when performing in an ensemble. Maybe graphics, or animation. Especially interesting is to insert a Syphon stream into the mix. Here’s one way to do that. Sorry — I only cover Mac software here.

  1. Obs Zoom Mac
  2. Obs Zoom Recording
  3. Obs Zoom Audio
  4. Zoom Obs Integration

Part 1 — Get OBS into Zoom

By having this in OBS, I don’t have to fiddle faddle with screen sharing in Zoom (which I could not even do as that’s for presenters). I’m after that TV news style effect where behind the anchor is a display of about one quarter of the screen of images or maps or news clips. Zoom is a great way to bring your speakers together in one place. However you can't brand your live stream experience with Zoom. Capturing your Zoom meeting with OBS is a great way to enhance the visual appearance for your live stream, as you can add backgrounds, videos and musics. Capture your Zoom meeting with OBS. This is a method of outputting OBS as a virtual camera and recognizing it as a video source with Zoom or Teams. OBS is originally distributed in cooperation with YouTube and video distribution systems. However, by adding a virtual camera as a plug-in, Zoom, Teams, etc. It can be used as a video source for other software. I will show you how. I have MacOS Elcapitan and the last compatible version of OBS is 24.0.2. The OBS Mac virtual CAM plugin is only working with newer versions of OBS. Is there a way to use a virtual CAM to use OBS 24.0.2 with Skype, Zoom, etc. I am looking for a CamTwist alternative. Updated Video Here: blog post tutorial here - https://streamgeeks.us/udpated-how-to-connect-obs-and-zoom/Unof.

Here are the ingredients:

      • Configure OBS Mac Virtualcam inside of OBS.
      • Launch OBS and enable Tools/Start Virtual Web Cam
      • Launch Zoom and select the “OBS MAC Virtualcam” source that is now available in Zoom video preferences

If you have a Syphon source that you would like to include in an OBS scene, do that in OBS by creating a “Syphon Client” Source. Continue to Part 2 if you want to send the Syphon client directly to Zoom.

Hi Everyone I’m going to break down the settings you need to change in Zoom to Window Capture in Stream labs OBS as of this most recent version
Step one: open fresh Zoom meeting( you need to be logged in to Zoom change settings in Zoom)

Step two: once logged in you should see a screen that looks like this, head over to that little gear in the upper right corner:

Obs Zoom Recording

Once you're here Click that gear to get to the settings!
Choose the Second Option down which should be the video settings Tab
Then in the lower right of the screen click on Advanced.

Once your in the advanced menu go to Video Rendering Method and Select Anything that is not Auto or Flip mode. I used GDI im not sure what these mean but it works so it’s good.

In the same Menu are several check boxes about hardware acceleration. Enable de-noise. and uncheck the rest.

Next Open OBS Stream labs, delete your Window Capture, and add a new instance under the plus sign or add menu. im not sure why you need to replace the instance but you seem to need to do this. After that double click the Window capture to choose your subject.

Obs Zoom Audio

After you double click, choose Zoom from the available windows in the list just like you would if you were streaming a game or Photoshop. (note it may list Zoom twice only one is your camera/call the other is the background program.)

Zoom Obs Integration

After that follow your normal streaming setup and everything SHOULD be fine. this information came from our friendly neighborhood Reddit trolls and I have tested it so it should work for everyone. Let me know if you get lost.
